Read →A swaged (press) coupler is a steel sleeve slipped over the joined rebar bars and are cold-pressed with a hydraulic press right on site. The coupler metal is pressed into the rebar profile, forming a full-strength mechanical connection without thread, welding or heat.
The main advantage — installation needs no thread cutting/rolling and no access to the bar end, so swaged couplers are chosen for repair and strengthening, splicing already-installed rebar, work in congested nodes and on Ø14–40 mm rebar of classes A400/A500C. The connection assembles quickly and consistently, quality is controlled by the swaging force.
