Standard swaged coupler, length class 7D: press length L = 7×Ø of the rebar.
The straight LX-Press 7D swaged coupler joins two same-diameter bars by cold pressing with a hydraulic press, without cutting a thread. Class 7D — the swage zone is 7 rebar diameters long.
Working joints on site, including on cut and contaminated rebar where a thread cannot be cut. Class 7D is used when a 7×Ø swage zone is required.

7D is the press-zone length: L = 7×Ø of the joined rebar (112 mm for Ø16, 280 mm for Ø40). The higher the class, the longer the swage zone and the higher the splice capacity.
