Standard swaged coupler, length class 6D: press length L = 6×Ø of the rebar.
The straight LX-Press 6D swaged coupler joins two same-diameter bars by cold pressing with a hydraulic press, without cutting a thread. Class 6D — the swage zone is 6 rebar diameters long.
Working joints on site, including on cut and contaminated rebar where a thread cannot be cut. Class 6D is used when a 6×Ø swage zone is required.

6D is the press-zone length: L = 6×Ø of the joined rebar (96 mm for Ø16, 240 mm for Ø40). The higher the class, the longer the swage zone and the higher the splice capacity.
